Located near the bank of the Narayani River and at the Western edge of the Chitwan National Park, Island Jungle Resort offers visitors both respite and closeness to nature. A 1 hour drive (32 Km) away from Bharatpur, the resort provides a calm, relaxed and exclusive stay for visitors.

The Island Jungle Resort is an eco-friendly resort. It’s accomodation are comfortable with well equipped tiny huts located individually, with a total of 24 rooms and a round the clock support staff who will see to your each and every need.

Being an eco-friendly resort, it has a well designed green waste management system which ensures that the resort’s day to day operation does not harm the environment. The resort has tied up with the local youth club, eco club and practices organic compositing.

Individually-designed spacious bungalows and tented camps with 24-hour solar heated hot running water, en-suite bath rooms, solar power back-up, a beautiful garden and much more.

With its exclusive location, the resort provides a serene environment, wonderful views of the Narayani River and its surrounding jungle  which provides the perfect ambience to spend quality time with loved ones. On some mornings, herds of rhinos can also been seen drinking water from the river bank across the resort.

The Island Jungle Resort has wildlife experts who will take you around the inner jungle areas of Chitwan National Park. You can observe a wide variety of birds and animals including rhinos, barking deers, and on rare occasions tigers too.

Chitwan National Park located in the lowlands of south-central Nepal is considered the best park in Asia and by far the most popular wildlife sanctuary in the country.

The park encompasses 932 sq km of sub tropical forest consisting of grasslands, sal forest, and riverine forests. The park is the home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, the great one-horned Rhinoceros, 4 different kinds of deer, leopards, gharial, crocodiles, sloth bear, langur monkeys, antelope, hyena, cobras, kraits and pythons and many different species of butterflies, insects and over 562 kinds of colorful endangered birds including Great Pied Hornbill, Bengal Florican, Peregrine Falcon and lesser Adjutant stork.
